Make tools for people starting their own thing.
We're a small team in Austin, mostly remote. We're hiring three people. The reason we ship things people love is because we hire people who love shipping things people love. Read on if that's tautological enough for you.

A small team, picked carefully.
GPF was started in early 2025 by Maya Chen (founding designer) and Diego Park (founding engineer). We are now eleven people: four designers, four engineers, two on operations, and one on customer support. We have no marketing hires yet. We're hiring our first.
Everyone on the team has either started something themselves or worked closely on someone else's small business. It turns out that's the qualification that matters most for making this product.
We work asynchronously most days. We have one synchronous meeting per week. We are not a startup that confuses being in the office with being good at our jobs. We are a team that prefers writing things down.

You'll own the brand-foundation generation pipeline end-to-end — prompt engineering, evaluation, the editor UI, the export system. We use TypeScript, React, Postgres, and a heavily-modified shadcn. You should have shipped real products to real users and be allergic to ceremony.
You'll own the type, color, logo, and layout systems that power every output. You'll work side-by-side with engineering to translate brand-book conventions into deterministic generative rules. Previous design-systems work at a real consultancy is essentially required.
You'll own everything outside the product. Site, content, customer stories, paid (when we eventually do it), partnerships. You'll be the first marketing hire. You'll be writing more than launching. You'll be a small-business owner's translator, not a growth-hacker.
We work Monday through Thursday. Friday is yours. We pay full-time. We measure by output. We've done this for 14 months and the data says we ship more.
Writing is the work.
We write proposals. We write design briefs. We write changelogs. We have one synchronous meeting a week. Slack DMs are discouraged. Discussions live in shared documents.
No on-call drama.
No PagerDuty rotations. No "always be shipping" culture. The product is mostly read-only for a stretch each week so engineers can think.
Every Thursday: office hours.
We sit on a public Zoom from 11–11:30 CT and customers join. Everyone on the team takes a turn hosting. It's how we stay close to the people we build for.

Dear future teammate,
The version of this page that almost every startup writes is full of perks. Free lunch, ping-pong, equity options, unlimited PTO. We are not that company.
We have very few perks. We pay well. We give you four-day weeks. We treat you like an adult. We refuse to make work feel like home — we want you to have a home, and a life outside this thing.
If you're here because you read the manifesto and felt seen, we'd like to talk to you. The roles above are flexible if you're a fit and the title is wrong.
